This is my big windowed '63 C-10 custom cab pick-up. I've had it for 4 1/2 years now and plan to keep it for many more. I've owned several classic cars and late model cars and trucks, including 2 Novas (a '69 & a '76)a '66 Mustang and a '95 & '98 Mustang, two S-10s and two C-1500s an '88 and my current '97, but this is my first classic truck. While it may not look like I've done much with it I have done extensive mods and restoration to the drive train and suspension. I have rebuilt the front end and dropped the suspension in the front with 2 1/2 drop spindles and 3 inch drop springs and I installed 5 inch drop springs in the rear and added Doetsch Tech shocks to all four corners. I ditched the manual front drum brakes and installed a set of cross drilled & slotted disc brakes with braided lines and a compact power booster. It's 6 banger and 3 on three the tree trans were ditched in favor of a fresh 327 with fuelie heads backed by a stout Turbo 350 trans and a stock rear end with 3.08:1 highway gears and a posi traction unit. Future plans include a 700-R4 tranny and some deeper gears. I've relocated the gas tank to under the bed and installed a set of '04 Silverado buckets and console and a Pioneer/ Kicker sound system. The biggest mod I made to the truck was shortening the frame and factory step side bed to stock short bed specifications and later swapped a fleet side bed in place of the step side bed. Future plans are to cut out any rust, add full on Air Ride suspension system and a set of 20 inch or larger aluminum wheels and some sticky rubber. I'd also love to someday install a 502 Ram-Jet big block or an LS series fuel injected small block (I love the smooth steady power of the LS small blocks. Last I plan on painting it with House Of Colors LimeTyme Green with Pearl White Trim and maybe some ghost flames or other graphics. This is a long term project and it is years away from being completed but I have a vision of how it will look when finished and I am dedicated to making it as nice as any custom truck out there.
