ive had it since i was 17 started with building and engine in high school a 350 with a cam and intake n some headers, then things just started breaking first the tranny so i got a 700r4 built with a tci breakaway converter i was told its good for 575 hp, then the rear end to old open carier just didnt hold, so i put in a set of 3.73 gears with a powertrax locker, then well of course not enuff power so i built a 454 bored .030 over scat crank keith black hyperutectic pistons, comps thumper hydraulic roller cam, comp lifters and push rods, crane gold race rockers, edelbrock aluminum heads, edelbrock intake, edelbrock 800avs carb, headman ceramic coated headers, and a few other odds and ends, the interior i got the seats from trucknvans.com and had gmc logos embroidered into the head rests, new doorpanels, dash, carpet, autometer gauges, hand made lower door panels. The body and paint i did it in my dads industrial shop after work hours it took me about 2 months just a quick job but it turned out quite alright for my first time.
